The Best Kept Secret in the Midwest Blues Scene

Any top-shelf dedicated professional is constantly honing their skills and craft throughout the years, which is part of the foundation for being the best.  So they tinker around, collecting numerous tools and general stuff that get the job done better than before.

Here’s some of Johnny’s Gear he uses for gigs, recording, and jams – there’s nothing here that he doesn’t use either. The gear he keeps is cared for like spoiled and pampered Kobe cattle. He tends to get rid of any “Unworthy” tools that don’t make the cut. He’s tossed out some pretty cool stuff over the years too.

For the last 15 years his live rig has remained virtually unchanged…consisting of his ’62 reissue Fender Stratocaster and original 1965 Fender Super Reverb.
